- Zia: "Must be due to the Karbashev radiation's negative alpha. The quantized D-space had to have been reduced by the secondary frequency oscillations to less than the critical 0.97 omega-squared." Chloe: "...?"
- Zia (slithers back over to the portal with Chloe). Chloe. Portal. Zia: "C'mere a sec." "This is probably a bad idea, but —" (points at her tail) "— hold my tail, I want to try something."
- Zia (leaping into the portal, freaking out Chloe): "Alley ooooo —"
