- Zia at the console for the portal machine. Three (calling Zia aside): "Hey, a word with you?"
- Three: "Almost no-one turned into a drider in my world. Kyle's the first I've met in person." Kyle: "Right. So if she can't stay here, I want to go back with her."
- Zia (shakes head): "I get it, and I sympathize, but that's impossible." "Your universe is probably already starting to unravel a little where you left it, and our universe is — overfull." "Everybody needs to go back to their own universe before each one falls apart." "I'm sorry."
- Three (sadly leaning toward Kyle): "I am too."
