- Chloe: "People keep asking where we live, where Day Two takes place." Zia: "How is that not obvious? They've seen me walk to work at Caltech right up the street in Pasadena!"
- Chloe: "Slither to work." Zia: "Same difference."
- Chloe: "They also ask: How was the world broken?" Zia: "How the hell should I know?" "Bernovitch took my math and effed it up. We're not even close to figuring out what he did."
- Chloe: "You know more than you're telling." Zia: "I swear I don't." "That jackass took my thesis, and my notes, and some of the prototypes, and he skipped the country." "That was like a year before Day One."
- Chloe: "So you honestly had nothing to do with it?" Zia (points at tail): "You think I wanted this?" "Being a snake is kinda cool, but how am I supposed to go skiing without feet?"
- Chloe: "Zia, you don't ski." Zia: "I could learn!"

Something something song about ladies from Pasadenaaaa...
The official spelling of Zia's thesis advisor's name is "Bernovich." I could swear it got written as "Bernovitch" in one previous comic, but in all my notes it doesn't have a "T," so the version without the "T" is the official spelling.
Zia's a bit frustrated here, and she does manage to say a few new canon facts and to fill in a few minor details about the timeline even though nothing in FAQ Month is supposed to be new; but none of what she says here is really spoilers, so I'll allow it 😁
