- Chloe: "We have no idea how long it'll be before they're ready. Zia said we should go for a walk." Two (fist bump): "Show me your crazy monster world!"
- *outside the building, Two grinning madly at Chloe.*
- Chloe: "What is with you?" Two: "You're soooo cool, One."
- Chloe: "Since when am I cool? I'm the opposite of cool." Two: "No, seriously, One, being a centaur must be so amazing! What's it like?"
- Chloe: "Look, Two, you really have no idea how much this sucks." "Do you know how many times my butt has gotten stuck in a doorway since I turned into this? The modern world's not made for horses — or for centaurs."
- Three: "I get it, One. I get stuck in doors all the time too." Chloe: "Yeah, Three, but you're a freaky terrifying spider."
- Three: "Oh, this has its good parts." Chloe: "Name one."
- Three (grinning): "Ever french-kiss a boy you tied upside-down naked halfway up a telephone pole?" Chloe (grimacing): "No —" Three: "Don't knock it 'till you've tried it."

In other news, we passed the Bechdel Test for 92 straight pages, which is a pretty good run, I think. A lot of the rest of this chapter won't, but many if not most of the successive chapters will: The main characters have far more important things to talk about than boyfriends. But even though we finally failed the Bechdel Test, Day Two will continue to pass the Mako Mori Test with flying colors: It's still a mostly-female cast, and most of the characters' story arcs will continue to have absolutely nothing to do with love or romance.
