- *Chloe, a mess in bed in the morning. Phone is on the floor, ringing.* *ring* *ring*.
- Chloe (still a mess, her head under the pillow, holds up the phone): "Uff — " "Mrif — " "Hurf — " " — hello?"
- (Split-screen closeup.) Lynne: "Hi, Chloe, it's me." Chloe: "Oh, hey, Lynne, how are you?"
- Lynne: "I, uh — " Chloe: "Hrm?"
- Lynne: "So here's the thing. I don't suppose you could bring over my wheelchair for me?" Chloe: "Huh? Can't you come get it?"
- *Camera pulls back to reveal Lynne, a mermaid again, wet from the shower.* Lynne: "No, I — don't think I can."
